Because seniors possess wisdom and experience, because they have the time to pursue special ministries, and because they have specific needs in their lives, First Baptist Church provides a variety of opportunities for worship, outreach, and fellowship within the church family and in our community.
Wednesday Night Bible Study and Supper. Supper is served Wednesday evenings from 5:15 until 6:15. Supper is $3.50 per person but first-time visitors are invited to be our guest. Please call the church office (245-6626) with the number of reservations you will require by Monday noon. Bible study follows from 6:30 until 7:30.
Sunday Evening activities meet at 6:00 and include special interest studies which have, in the past, included world religion studies, generational study, health issues, and moral/ethical issues.
Chapel Choir has a unique mission, ministering through music to nursing home residents. Literature is easy to moderate, with emphasis on Gospel hymnody. The choir meets Monday mornings from 10:00-10:50. Tony Spencer is the director.
Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) meets at 10:00 A.M. on the second Tuesday of each month to learn about and pray for missions at home and abroad.
Friendship Club tutors children from Forest City Elementary School on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

Homebound Ministry Team ministers to those in our congregation and community who are homebound.
Nursing Home Ministry Team visits church family and friends who are in local nursing homes.
Yokefellow Service Center provides food, clothing, and other resources either free of charge or inexpensively for members of the community who are in need. Volunteers from First Baptist share their time on the third Tuesday of each month.
Home Maintenance Team takes care of minor home repairs.

LLL (Living Longer & Liking It) meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 11:00 AM to enjoy a program and a covered dish luncheon. Programs range from entertaining to the informative. And the food can’t be beat!
