Ministries--
   Missions

Dedicated to the promotion of mission work in our community, throughout our country, and around the world, First Baptist Church supports mission endeavors through study groups, prayer groups, and personal action.

Preschoolers

Mission Friends provides mission education and activities for children ages 4-5.  Classes meet every Sunday at 11:00 AM.

Children

TeamKID [Kids In Discipleship] engages children in Bible study and mission application. They meet Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:00 PM. Recent mission projects have included home visits, working at the local food pantry, raising money for Heiffer International and Relay for Life.

Music and Missions is our denominational missions study for children in Grades 1-5. The theme of this program is "Doing Missions in a World Without Borders." They meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:20, along with children's choirs.

Friendship Club is a tutoring program for students at Forest City Elementary School.  Friendship Club meets on Monday and Wednesday afternoons after school for enrichment activities, snacks, and tutoring.

Adults

Women on Mission is a group of dedicated, mission-minded women who support mission efforts around our nation and world with their prayers, finances, and projects.  Two groups, the Bible Study, and Missions Group, meet every second Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

Baptist Men are enthusiastically involved in construction mission projects.  Emergency relief efforts have taken them to flood victims in western North Carolina; Grifton, NC; and the Gulf Coast.

Foreign Missions

Our own Richard Mauney is serving as a music missionary in Romania with the Greater Europe Mission.

Our church also has a working relationship with Baptist missionaries with Glasgow Belize Missions.
